This was my first time attending this restaurant. I had my doubts but they were eased once the cooked started. He was a respectful young man, and if he made a mistake he corrected with the upmost politeness. I've heard different opinions about the food, but this was one of the best Japanese Steakhouses I've ate at in a while. The steak and chicken with rice and vegetables were great. The Both meats were prepared well and really tender!!! I will definitely eat their again. Price point wasn't bad.

We are from out of town and visited Mikata over all it was a great experience. The food was amazing we went for habachi and it did not disappoint. We were going to celebrate my birthday and they made me feel celebrated which was nice, but at the end they came out with a birthday pineapple and sang happy birthday so fun! But then we got our bill and they charged us $5 for the 1/4 of a pineapple that we didn’t ask for or know was coming. Would definitely go again but wouldn’t tell then we’re celebrating anything. We were very shocked they charged us for that.

Was my hubby and I first time. Had heard great things about this restaurant and it didn't disappoint. We both had the #8 combo which comes with soup, salad, stake, chicken, shrimp & fried rice. And sherbet for dessert. Hubby had water and I had the Makita special (non alcohol) Chef was entertaining and sociable Side note Hubby cleaned his plate ( no shocker there)however I took home to go boxes

Mikata Japanese Steakhouse has left the best impressions! One of the best sushi places in Albany. A variety of options on their menu. Great taste and presentation. Let’s not forget their delicious Orange Sherbet

On Tuesday, I went to Mikata's and on Wednesday for lunch I went to Tokyo. Mikata's is lightyears ahead of Tokyo in every way!!!! Mikata's will be my go to for Japanese always and my recommendation to others! The service is exceptional and the food is delicious!!

I had a great time at this place, and our chef Panda, was hilarious!! I'll try harder to catch the egg next time haha. Food was cooked to perfection and just simply delicious. I didn't get a photo while he was cooking because I was in awe of course, but I did get an after plate image!

We celebrated my brother’s 29th birthday at this wonderful restaurant. They seated us in a private room, large enough to accommodate 10 people comfortably. Our waitress was pleasant and helpful offering suggestions on popular menu items, including sushi. We would happily come back in the future. It’s great being able to feel safe, while dining out, during the pandemic. The private room allows you to enjoy the company of your family, without being exposed to additional germs from strangers.
